About Lindsay

Lindsay Grymes is a movement entrepreneur, professional dancer, choreographer, and comprehensively certified Pilates instructor. She is the founder and owner of LG Movement, a boutique Pilates and movement studio created to redefine how strength, artistry, and longevity coexist in one training space. Built on the belief that intelligent, small-group apparatus work produces deeper, more lasting results, LG Movement exists to serve dancers, athletes, and committed movers seeking precision, intention, and true expertise.

Lindsay’s approach is shaped by a career that spans concert dance, education, rehabilitation, and high-performance training. She earned her BFA in Dance and Choreography, with a minor in Arts Management, from Marymount Manhattan College, where she developed both her artistic voice and a strong foundation in creative leadership. Her professional dance career includes performance, choreography, and commissions within the New York City dance community, as well as advanced training at nationally and internationally recognized institutions.

In parallel with performing, Lindsay built an extensive career as a dance educator, teaching contemporary technique, conditioning, and choreography to dancers ranging from early youth programs to advanced, pre-professional levels. She has taught within competitive studios, conservatory-style programs, intensives, and private coaching environments, guiding dancers preparing for collegiate programs and professional careers. Her teaching emphasizes clarity, efficiency, and expressive depth.

A significant injury and rehabilitation period became a turning point in Lindsay’s career, leading her to Pilates not only as a method of recovery, but as a system for long-term strength and sustainability. Through this experience, she rebuilt her body with greater awareness and resilience than before injury, reshaping her philosophy around training and performance.

Lindsay is comprehensively trained across all Pilates apparatus, including Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels, and has taught in both traditional studio settings and physical therapy–adjacent environments, integrating rehabilitative principles, postural re-education, and injury-informed progression. This background allows her to bridge clinical understanding with athletic and artistic demands, particularly for dancers and clients with complex movement histories.

In January 2026, Lindsay officially opened LG Movement, designed as an intimate, high-performance studio emphasizing hands-on instruction and individualized progression. The studio reflects her purpose as a business owner: to offer a level of care, expertise, and intention rarely found in group fitness settings, and to create a space where movement is treated as both craft and practice.

Today, Lindsay continues to teach Pilates, choreograph, and mentor dancers while expanding LG Movement as a community rooted in strength, intelligence, and integrity. Her work is grounded in lived experience, rigorous training, and a commitment to helping individuals move with confidence, longevity, and purpose.
